Places I Can No Longer Go, 2019
Places I Can No Longer Go, is a diptych that is very close to my heart. In 2019 my grandmother moved out of her apartment which she had lived in her whole life, a place that holds many memories for our family. That same year my Nana and Grampy sold their summer trailer in Sauble Beach, where my family and I would go every summer. I cherish both places and it was very sorrowful when they became places that I could no longer go. To hold onto those memories I hand carved a piece of linoleum flooring to make two Lino-cut prints.
